Mother's Day at the Musk Ox Farm, 5/12/24

Tuesday, May 27, 2025

We were able spend Mother's Day at the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer. They had a few baby musk ox that were just born a few weeks prior and they were so cute! The girls and Scott also treated me so well, and I had a wonderful day! I absolutely love being Mom to our three sweet girls! 💗💗💗

Mother's Day, 5/14/23

Sunday, July 14, 2024

I had a wonderful Mother's Day spent with family. I'm so grateful that I get to be mom to three amazing daughters, and that I have a wonderful mother who I look up to. We spent the day before Mother's Day with Scott's family, and then Sunday I had a nice relaxing morning at home, and then we went to my parents. So grateful for Moms!

Yummy dinner and dessert at my parents.

Mother's Day, 5/8/22

Tuesday, January 31, 2023

I've gotten so far behind on this blog, but I'm determined to catch up! It's so fun to have this to look back on and remember all the fun times we've had and all the beautiful places we've been!

I had Scott take a nice picture of me with the girls on Mother's Day, but other than that I can't really remember what we did that day. 🙈 I think we spent Mother's Day at my parents', and the day before we were with Scott's family, and had a picnic and played pickleball at the park. It's always so fun to be with family, and on Mother's Day I'm especially grateful I get to be Mom to these three sweet, beautiful, smart, and strong girls. They are the best! 💕

I actually took these lilac pics a few days before Mother's Day, but they're so pretty I wanted to share here! 💜

Mother's Day, 5/9/21

Monday, July 26, 2021

It was so nice to be in Utah for Mother's Day. Usually in Alaska it's just barely starting to turn green, but here it was already so pretty and springy! We also got to be with our moms and family, which was so fun. We got together with Scott's side of the family the day before, playing pickle ball and having a picnic lunch at the park. Later on that day we got together with my side of the family and had a yummy BBQ dinner all together.

We snapped these few quick pics after church and they turned out so cute! I love being Mom to these three sweet and precious girls! I don't know how I got so lucky! Love them all so much! 💗💗💗

Mother's Day Dinner, 5/10/20

Tuesday, June 2, 2020
After spending the day at Eklutna Lake we came home and had the most delicious dinner of salmon tacos (with salmon that Scott dip netted last summer, see here) and then we had ice cream pie for dessert. Everything was so delicious! We used recipes from the Utah Jazz Quarantine Cookbook (Royce O'Neale's salmon tacos and Coach Snyder's ice cream pie) and I'm sure we'll be using them again. Everything was so good I had to document it. Enjoy!

I'm so glad that our girls love salmon! (And halibut) They always get so excited when we decide to have fish for dinner.

Eklutna Lake, 5/10/20

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year. We started the day off by having some delicious waffles with fresh strawberries and whip cream, and then we had a little home church and Scott surprised me by having the girls perform a special musical number. They sang "Mother Dear" and it was so sweet. (He had them practice the day before while I was at work.) The girls were also able to sing it for their grandmas over FaceTime and they loved it as well. Scott and I have the sweetest girls! 💕

After breakfast and home church we went to Eklutna Lake and hiked along the lakeside trail and we also tried out the Eydlu Bena Loop. It was about two miles and so pretty! We'll definitely be doing it again. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and probably the most crowded we've ever seen the parking lot. (We were super lucky to get a spot, haha.)

I feel so blessed to be the mother to our three beautiful girls, and also that I have the most wonderful mother and mother-in-law. Happy Mother's Day! 💗

Sweetest girls 💖 I love how Noelle is also holding Robyn's rock, haha.

Mother's Day, 5/12/19

Monday, May 13, 2019
Happy Mother's Day! How grateful I am to be the mother of these three beautiful angels. I feel so lucky that they get to call me, "mama." Being a mother is something I've always wanted, and although it's been a lot harder than I ever imagined, it's also a whole lot more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. These three girls and their daddy mean the world to me and I love them so much! I'm also so grateful for my own wonderful mother who provides the perfect example of what a mother should be. I love her and and all the other mother figures in my life. So nice to celebrate them all today!

Technically we took these pics last Sunday (5/5/19), but the intention was for today, haha. Scott left for St. Paul this morning and we look forward to hearing about his adventures!

Mother's Day, 5/14/17

Monday, May 15, 2017
It's been kind of a crazy and busy week, but it's been fun! We started celebrating Mother's Day last night after I got off work. Scott and I made a delicious Thai dinner, and then this morning we had yummy blueberry waffles and whipped cream. Unfortunately Scott had to leave this afternoon for work in St. Paul, but I'm glad we got to spend most of the weekend together. Before taking Scott to the airport I had him snap a few quick pics of me and the girls at Knik Lake and at the church. It was a little bit cold and rainy, but a lot of green has come out, especially this last week, which is so pretty! We're so excited for summer!

I love being a mom to these two, soon to be three, sweet girls. I feel so blessed to have them call me "Mom." I love them so much, and I'm also so grateful for my own mom, too. She's the best example to me of what a mother should be. It's hard living so far apart, but I'm glad we're able to talk through FaceTime, and that both my mom and dad are able to travel up here fairly often to stay with us. Can't wait to see them in a few months when we have the baby! Happy Mother's Day! :)

29 weeks tomorrow!

Mother's Day, 5/8/16

Tuesday, May 10, 2016
I had a very happy Mother's Day. Scott made us all a delicious waffle breakfast, then we went to church (doing this quick two minute photo shoot before), and then Scott made a very tasty Mexican dinner, since he was in St. Paul during Cinco de Mayo, haha. Scott gave me some new Spring shirts and Ruby and Noelle colored some nice pictures for me. I had a great day. :)

I feel so grateful that I get to be a mother to two sweet girls. I love our little family so much. <3 I also feel very blessed that I have an amazing mother. She has been and is the greatest example to me. And of course, I have an amazing mother-in-law, too. So many great women in my life! Lucky for us this month we get to spend time with both of our mothers! Scott's parents are visiting us here in Alaska. And then we'll be with my family in Cali at the end of the month. Yay! :)

Mother's Day, 5/10/15

Tuesday, May 12, 2015
Last Sunday was Mother's Day. I feel so very grateful that I get to be "mama" to these two sweet, precious, little girls. I'm so blessed and don't know how I got so lucky. I love these girls with all my heart. <3 I'm also very grateful for the great mother I have. She's the best example for me as I'm raising my own babies. We weren't able to be together in person, but we're looking forward to being together next month. :)
Both girls looked so cute in their matching dresses and they got so many compliments at church. :)
